I’m an old otaku. And as such, I remember when PE meant seeing the characters wearing bloomers in anime and manga. I know, old style.
Don’t get me wrong. I do like today’s little shorts. But, I don’t know. Bloomers has a powerful allure for me.
And when I saw our bois wearing bloomers in cross-dressing Pandemic, I couldn’t help but smile.
The doctors finally allowed Nanaki to do intense exercise (nice) and he’s excited about his first PE class after two years in the hospital. But his excitement vanishes when he sees his uniform. His mom not only bought him the regular uniform, but also the PE uniform. (Nice, mom!)
He’s the only one who’s embarrassed though. No one of his classmates are embarrassed by it. In fact, Ryou is more than happy. I get it. Seeing your crush wearing that alluring piece of clothing is nice (in my cause, my waifus)

Anyway, that’s not the only reason Ryou excited. This is also his chance to look cool in front of Nanaki.
But there’s a problem. Most of the boys don’t want to sweat during PE. Why you ask? Because they spend a lot of time putting makeup and it’s troublesome to put it again.

Despite that, Nanaki and Ryou find another member so they could play football. To Ryou’s surprise (and mine, honestly), Nanaki is good at it. In fact, he likes to exercise, contrary to his cute and girlish appearance (that was rude, Ryou. And me)

Because of that, Ryou has no chance to show his cool side to his crush. That is, until the last match. When he’s about to score, he misses the goal, the ball hits the post and comes straight at his face.

Nanaki rushes to him, worried. But when Ryou realizes his contact fell, he cries and runs away from the field.
That was hard. No cross-dressing boy should be seeing without his makeup, especially by his crush.

Poor Ryou.
I liked to see an unexpected side of Nanaki. I mean, it’s nice that even underneath all the cuteness and makeup, they’re still boys.
