Imagine you go out to hang out with your friends. What would you expect?
Go to the arcade, eat something, perhaps go buy something. Just guys hanging out, right?
Maybe that was what Nanaki thought. But he didn’t consider the cross-dressing boom.
Tsk, tsk. Our MC needs to understand boys cross-dress nowadays. So when they hang out with their friends, of course they will be cross-dressing.
Rewinding a bit.
Nanaki needs to buy new clothes since he grew while he was in the coma. Since Hikaru had plans to hang out with his friend, Hamura Akira, he invites Nanaki.

Akira was (or still is, I can’t say) a member of the karate club. He even has a scar across his face. And of course he cross-dresses as any boy would. Actually, he has a “cross-dressing need” since his school is the only one in the area that doesn’t allow the boys to put a skirt. Outrageous, I know. Stupid school.
Their first stop is a makeup shop (boys need their makeup to become cuter). Hikaru even says Nanaki should get a beginner’s set. Too bad our MC says no (tsk)

Their second stop is the arcade. And Akira wants a cute bunny from that crane game. Nice. By the way, when they take a pic, instead of cheese, they say “cross-dressing boys” (nice x2)
Then they go to the karaoke, where Akira and Hikaru both pic songs about cross-dressing (I wonder how many songs about CD exist)
After a few more places, they finally go buy the clothes Nanaki needed. However, we find out something fun; there are hardly any men’s clothes store anymore. Most are gone.

They managed to find one though, the last one in the mall. The store clerk also cross-dresses by the way. Then there’s the second surprise; the clothes are way too expensive. Since most of the younger boys and man cross-dress, of course that would be.
But Nanaki has good friends and they say they’ll pull their money together and buy an outfit for him, as long as they get to chose. And though they did intend to buy him guy’s clothes, the store had a cross-dressing corner. And they couldn’t help themselves.
What did (not) surprise me was that Nanaki put the outfit and only complained later. Resign to the situation, he just accepts the “present.”

The clerk was so touched by their manly friendship the store ditched men’s clothes and became a cross-dressing store a few days later.
Nanaki and his friends got rid of the last store in the mall. Nice 3x
I liked the cast, but we got a good number now. At least I think the author should develop them a bit before introducing new characters.
But I liked how he showed how much the boom influenced the culture. From music to manga. I’m guessing there must be a lot of cross-dressing top model (wanna see that.) Wonder if influenced sports too.
Well, since this story is slice of life, I’m enjoying so far.
