When I found out about this manga, I went to read the first chapter and I was both pleasantly surprised.
I know there aren’t a lot of otokonoko/cross-dressing manga out there, and even less involving supernatural.
The story starts in the hospital. There was an accident and Haruka needs a blood transfusion, but his blood type is rare and they don’t have it. Then a girl, Maruka, says they can use hers.

Because of that, years later, Haruka considers Maruka her life savior and wants to repay her. There’s only one problem. She seems to hate him.
But he doesn’t mind and still wants to repay her. Then, one day, he sees her “floating” a bottle of water.

In a tsundere-esque way, she drags him to her house and tells him that she’s a witch and that she’s going to take an exam for a high school that’s actually a witch school.

Haruka soon realized the problem with that; she has no control over her powers. Even moving a bottle around is hard for her.
Since her exam is in a few hours, she tells him to become her slave until then and help her figure out the trigger for her powers.
He wants to help her so he says yes. She shows a couple of tricks she uses to activate her powers. Using pepper and sneezing. Eating super spicy curry. Taking a hot bath.
Then we find out why she seems to hate him; when he was in the hospital, Maruka went to visit him (and feed him apples) but the nurses onee-sans were already doing that and she got upset.

Personally, I don’t like she got mad at him because of this. He doesn’t even know.
Anyway, after a few things, she gets mad and says he’s released and doesn’t have to help her anymore.
Haruka goes away, but then he remembers she was always “dancing” in the yard and realizes she was trying to use her powers. He understands becoming a witch is important to her and makes up his mind.
In the meantime, Maruka is taking her exam, but she can’t even float an apple. The examiner moves to the next person and Maruka crying because she doesn’t want to give up.

And then the knight in shining armor cross-dressing boy shows up.

Haruka, who looks cuter than Maruka in my opinion, says that he and Maruka are “one witch.” When he hugs her, everything floats. Table, apples, papers, people.

Because of that, they pass. Yes, they both were admitted to the Witch’s school.
Haruka was already expecting that, so he had made his decision to cross-dress and go to the same school as the person who saved his life.
Even in a skirt, Haruka is manlier than a lot of MC. But, though he’s smart in some ways, he’s dense in others.
That was the first chapter. Since this is a supernatural rom-com, I’m expecting a lot of situations were Maruka will get jealous, as a tsundere should, and make everything float around.
Sadly, this manga was canceled due to low sales. Vol 2 and 3 will come out in June, I think. But Yen press has already licensed, and vol 1 in English is scheduled to August, though it might change with the current situation.
I’ll buy the volumes in JP and probably in English if I have the money.
I wanna show support to this genre so we can have more stories with otokonoko and cross-dressers as the main characters or the main love interest.
