The story starts with our protagonist, Koga Nanaki, suffering an accident in his first-year high school and waking up two years later. It was a miracle (that he didn’t die and wake in an Isekai)
No Isekai? Truck-kun has failed us
Then, as expected of a Japanese student, he’s already back to school as a first-year again. However, he had no idea the world had changed while he was sleeping.
He’s walking to school with his friend, Watagashi Hikaru. Then he notices something strange. Hikaru is wearing the girl’s uniform.
“Was Hikaru a girl?” Nanaki asks himself. “But two years ago, he wore the boy’s uniform, didn’t he? His hair was shorter too. Was he always girl or is he cross-dressing? No, there’s no way he can go to school like that, right? But he’s wearing the sailor uniform as if it’s normal… And it doesn’t look like he’s trying to surprise me after so long… Maybe I’m the strange one. After the accident, I’m seeing Hikaru as a girl?”
Boys can wear skirt too, Nanaki
With all those questions in his head, they arrived at school. Nanaki decides he’s the weird one. Because they go to a boy’s school. But when he enters his classroom, there are only girls.
At once he asks when did the school become mixed, but Hikaru says they’re all boys.
All the girls are actually cross-dressing boys! Even the teacher is cross-dressing! (What a great world to live in)
The shock is so much Nanaki faints.
When he wakes up at the infirmary, Hikaru explains that after his accident, there was a cross-dressing boom!
90% of the boys their generation cross-dress. In their school, there’s almost no one wearing the boy’s uniform anymore.
As Nanaki struggles to accept this new world, Hikaru notices he has a lot of cross-dressing potential, so he begs Nanaki to wear his uniform for the day.
I know this is a cross-dressing manga, but Nanaki accepted too fast. Not that I’m complaining.
He goes to his seat and talks to his boy sitting next to him, Sonogami Ryou, who notices how cute Nanaki is and explains how boys wake up early to put makeup, greet each other by complementing their makeup. And those who are late have to put makeup in class. (What a great world do live in x2)
When Ryou noticed how much raw cross-dressing potential Nanaki has, he asks Nanaki to be his waifu.
And that’s the first chapter.
Yes. It ended with a BL proposal. But it’s not the genre, I doubt we’ll see a lot of development in that area. It’s sort like a manga/anime with a predominantly female cast.
From what I read, we shouldn’t expect something huge or a major plot twist. This is a simple manga about cross-dressing boys and their daily life.
By the way, the author also cross-dresses. He tweets from time to time how he wishes he was cuter.
If you liked this, please tell me. I’ll this for chapter 2, hoping a scan group decides to pick the manga, or maybe it gets an official release. If it does, I’ll definitely buy. But I’ll be buying in JP anyway.
